In today’s rapidly changing world, Design and Innovation become ones of the most significant factors in almost all business and development. Under the new ‘Thailand 4.0’ vision, the country is shifting towards a more innovative nation. Thammasat Design School vows to use our inherited Design Process proficiency to help solve global emerging environmental and social issues as well as to create knowledge necessity for the country’s development.

As we are progressing to the third decade of academic service, Thammasat Design School continues to look ahead of the times to search for new solutions for the future contexts. This ‘New Challenges, New Solutions’ core value has been in our DNAs as we always create new educational paradigms such as Asia’s first integrated Bachelor and Master’s program in Design Management, the first 4+2 Architecture program and the first 4-year undergraduate programs in Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning in the country. We envision and commit to ‘Shape Future Living.’

Our foremost strategy to achieve the goal of setting up the new mainstream is through Collaborative Design Process. Starting from 2018, all of the curriculums will enable students to learn from our academic and business partners. Students can choose to have a second major or minor in another discipline within the school or with our university partnering schools. Joint/exchanged workshop/courses with world renowned institutes such as Northumbria University in UK and Hong Kong Polytechnic University are available every summer. Design Future Lab represents our flagship project for the students to work together with our business partners in creating real-life design innovation.

We also aim to Stimulate Creative Dialogue to enhance our recognition. Our research journals, JARS and BUILT, are developing to be one of the best in the area of design and built environment. Our alumni network is very strong and full of energetic young professionals who are willing to aid the school. This, along with the vast expertise of our faculty members in design and architectural related areas and proactive public relation, will eventually benefit our positioning.

We invest in Technology-driven education and research to provide state-of- the-art facilities. The Digital Media Space with 360-degree seamless screen and twenty projectors that will allow all forms of paperless presentation and learning experience, is projected to complete in 2017, along with modern meeting/classrooms and 3-D printing workshop. In addition, a new ‘Design Playground’ building with top facilities will be added to the existing 15,000- square-meter building in 2018 to host collaborative design research activities.

Thammasat Design School has been laying out platforms for academic excellence. We seek worldwide academic and business partners who share similar vision and students who possess strong aspiration. Join us!
